Privacy Policy

Last Updated: February 9, 2026

🚀 The Short Version (Summary)

We do not spy on you or your children.

The ScreenPact desktop application is designed to work offline and locally. It does not collect, store, or transmit your personal usage data, screen time logs, or screenshots to our servers. Everything stays on your local computer.

The only time data is exchanged is when you purchase a license key, which is securely handled by our payment partner, Lemon Squeezy.

1. Introduction

Welcome to ScreenPact ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information of our users ("you") and your children. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Windows desktop application ("App") and our website (screenpact.com).

2. Data Collection & Use (The App)

We do not collect any personal data from the App.

Unlike many other parental control solutions, ScreenPact is designed as a standalone, local-first application.

  • No Cloud Sync: Your settings, budgets, audit logs, and usage history are stored locally on your device's hard drive. We have no access to this data.
  • No Tracking: We do not track which websites your child visits or which apps they use. The App only controls the network adapter status based on your settings.
  • No Uploads: The App does not connect to the internet to upload user data. It may only check for software updates or validate your license key.

3. Payments & Licensing

We do not process payments directly. We use Lemon Squeezy as our Merchant of Record to handle all transactions securely.

When you purchase a license key:

  • Lemon Squeezy collects your payment information (e.g., credit card number, billing address) and email address to process the order.
  • ScreenPact only receives your email address and license key status. We use this solely to provide customer support (e.g., if you lose your key).
  • We never have access to your credit card information.

Please review Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy for more details on how they handle payment data.

4. Children's Privacy

Our Service is intended to be used by parents to manage their children's device usage.

We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. Since no data leaves your computer, we technically cannot collect any data about your children.

5. Data Security

Because your data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on the security of your computer. We recommend keeping your Windows operating system updated and using a secure password for your Windows administrator account to prevent unauthorized changes to ScreenPact settings.
