System requirements

Check the family PC before installing.

ScreenPact v1.2.3 is a local Windows product intended for one family PC and a child using a Standard User account.

Required family account setup

  • 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11
  • A parent-controlled Administrator account for installation and maintenance
  • A separate Standard User account for the child’s daily use
  • The child does not know the parent administrator password or PIN
  • A private six-digit ScreenPact parent passcode

PC, browser and network

  • An x64 PC that meets the normal requirements for its installed Windows version
  • At least 500 MB of free space during installation
  • Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or another current browser for the local dashboard
  • An IPv4 network connection with a normal default gateway
  • Current Windows updates and the correct date, time and time zone

Required .NET components are included

ScreenPact needs the .NET 8 Desktop Runtime and ASP.NET Core 8 Runtime. Setup checks for compatible versions and installs the bundled Microsoft components when either one is missing; families do not need to find a separate download.

Current v1.2.3 boundaries

ScreenPact does not yet offer phone administration, LAN pairing, cloud accounts, multi-computer management, individual website filtering or complete multi-session Windows support. The local dashboard depends on the ScreenPact desktop process running in the signed-in session.
