Terms of Service

Last Updated: February 9, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the ScreenPact software ("Software") or accessing our website at screenpact.com ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Software.

2. License Grant

ScreenPact grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the Software solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes strictly in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.

  • Scope: You may install the Software on devices owned or controlled by you.
  • Restrictions: You agree not to reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer the Software.

3. Free Trial & Purchase

  • Free Trial: We offer a 14-day free trial with full functionality. No credit card is required for the trial.
  • Lifetime License: A "Lifetime License" grants you the right to use the specific version of the Software you purchased indefinitely on your compatible device. It includes minor updates (e.g., v1.0 to v1.1) but does not guarantee access to future major versions (e.g., v2.0) or new products.
  • Payment: All payments are processed securely by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy. By purchasing, you agree to Lemon Squeezy's Terms of Service.

4. Refunds

Since we offer a fully functional 14-day free trial, we generally do not offer refunds once a license key has been activated, except as required by consumer protection laws. If you have a technical issue that prevents the software from working, please contact support@screenpact.com, and we will do our best to resolve it or issue a refund at our discretion.

5. User Responsibility

You acknowledge that ScreenPact is a tool to assist with screen time management, but it is not a fail-safe solution. Tech-savvy children may find ways to bypass restrictions (e.g., using hardware dongles, booting into Safe Mode, or editing system files). We are not responsible for any content accessed by your child or any bypassing of the Software's restrictions.

6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SCREENPACT OR ITS DEVELOPERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFIT) ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SOFTWARE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE.

7. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
